Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 (14 ounce) package coleslaw mix
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced, for garnish
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Cook for 3-5 minutes, until the onion softens.
- Add the coleslaw mix to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender-crisp.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and sriracha (if using).
- Pour the sauce over the turkey and coleslaw mixture. Stir to coat everything evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Remove from heat. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute ground chicken or beef for the turkey.
- For extra vegetables, add shredded carrots or bell peppers.
- Adjust the amount of sriracha to your preferred spice level.
- Serve as is, or over rice or cauliflower rice for a more substantial meal.
