- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the ground turkey, sage, thyme, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Mix until the spices are evenly distributed throughout the turkey. Avoid overmixing.
- Divide the mixture into 6-8 equal portions and form them into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Place the patties in the hot skillet and cook for 4-6 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through.
- Serve immediately or store for later.
Notes
- For a spicier sausage, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
- You can prepare the patties ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 days before cooking.
- Cooked patties can be frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
