Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (5 ounce) can tuna in water, drained
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 8 ounces linguine pasta
Instructions
- Cook linguine according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and onion. Cook until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, tuna, parsley, and oregano. Bring to a simmer.
- Season with salt and pepper. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
- Add cooked linguine to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to combine.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic and onion.
- You can use other pasta shapes like spaghetti or penne if linguine is unavailable.
- Fresh basil can be used instead of parsley for a different flavor profile.
