Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/4 pounds ground turkey (93% lean)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 burger buns, toasted
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese, avocado, ketchup, mustard
Instructions
- Preheat a grill or large skillet to medium-high heat.
- In a medium bowl, combine ground turkey, chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined; do not overmix.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties about 1/2 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent bulging during cooking.
- Grill or cook patties for 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through and an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) is reached.
- If adding cheese, place a slice on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking, allowing it to melt.
- Serve the cooked turkey burgers on toasted buns with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the patty mixture.
- To prevent sticking, lightly oil the grill grates or skillet before cooking.
- These burgers can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before cooking.
