  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves chopped
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and ginger. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together chicken broth, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  5. Pour the sauce over the turkey mixture and bring to a simmer. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh basil leaves until wilted.
  7. Serve hot over cooked rice.
