- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups miniature marshmallows
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and sugar. Stir in melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate.
- Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and set aside to cool slightly.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and 2 tablespoons butter. Cook, stirring constantly, until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
- Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled graham cracker crust.
- Arrange the miniature marshmallows evenly over the chocolate filling.
- Return the pie to the oven and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the marshmallows are lightly golden brown and puffed. Alternatively, you can use a kitchen torch to toast the marshmallows until golden.
- Let the pie cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For an extra decadent pie, use a mix of milk chocolate and dark chocolate chips for the filling.
- If you don’t have miniature marshmallows, you can use larger marshmallows cut into smaller pieces.
- The pie can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Let it come to room temperature before serving for the best texture.
- You can add a sprinkle of sea salt on top of the toasted marshmallows for a sweet and salty twist.
