Easy-to-make sloppy joe filling baked in muffin cups for a fun twist on the classic sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown beef with onion and bell pepper in a skillet.
  3. Drain fat and stir in ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Press biscuit dough into muffin tin cups.
  6. Fill each cup with sloppy joe mixture.
  7. Top with shredded cheese.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • Use lean beef for less grease.
  • Add hot sauce if you like spice.
