A rich and creamy seafood bisque made with shrimp and crab.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
  3. Stir in flour to make a roux.
  4. Gradually whisk in seafood stock.
  5. Add shrimp, crab, paprika, and thyme.
  6. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  7. Stir in heavy cream.
  8. Season with salt and pepper.
  9. Serve hot.
