Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound chicken breasts to even thickness.
  3. Set up breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and crushed pretzels.
  4. Coat each chicken breast in flour, then egg, then pretzel crumbs.
  5. Place on baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  6. For sauce: Melt butter in saucepan, whisk in mustard and milk.
  7. Stir in cheese until melted and smooth.
  8. Serve chicken with warm sauce.

Notes

  • Use food processor for finer pretzel crumbs
  • Can substitute pretzels with breadcrumbs if needed
  • Adjust mustard amount to taste
