- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pound chicken breasts to even thickness.
- Set up breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and crushed pretzels.
- Coat each chicken breast in flour, then egg, then pretzel crumbs.
- Place on baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- For sauce: Melt butter in saucepan, whisk in mustard and milk.
- Stir in cheese until melted and smooth.
- Serve chicken with warm sauce.
Notes
- Use food processor for finer pretzel crumbs
- Can substitute pretzels with breadcrumbs if needed
- Adjust mustard amount to taste
