Ingredients

  • 400g canned tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 400g pasta
  • Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add onion, carrot, celery, and garlic. Cook until soft.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, canned tomatoes, beef stock, red wine, oregano, and bay leaf.
  5. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Cook pasta according to package instructions.
  7. Drain pasta and mix with the sauce.
  8. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
