Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (16 oz) container sour cream
  • 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
  • 1 (8 oz) package shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (8 oz) package shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown ground beef and sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning to the meat mixture and stir well.
  4. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, diced tomatoes with green chilies, and half of the shredded cheeses.
  5. Combine the meat mixture with the cheese mixture and spread into a baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • You can use ground turkey instead of beef for a lighter version.
