A perfectly cooked juicy steak with a rich and creamy garlic sauce.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sirloin or ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp dried rosemary

Instructions

  1. Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.
  4. Remove steaks from the skillet and let them rest.
  5. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  6. Add heavy cream, thyme, and rosemary. Stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Pour the sauce over the steaks and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For best results, let the steaks sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before cooking.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the steaks reach your preferred doneness (130°F for medium-rare).
