Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup (60ml) extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add garlic and sauté until golden, about 2 minutes. Stir in red pepper flakes if using.
  3. Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. If needed, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
  4. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley and Parmesan if desired.
  5. Serve immediately.
