- 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)
- 2 lbs ricotta cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 package (3.4 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 cup cold milk
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare chocolate cake mix as directed on the box. Pour batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, eggs, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over cake batter.
- Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
- Whisk pudding mix with milk until thickened. Fold in whipped topping.
- Spread pudding mixture over cooled cake. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

- Use full-fat ricotta for the creamiest texture.
- Chill the cake thoroughly for easier slicing.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings or fresh berries if desired.
