Ingredients

  • 500g chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions until golden brown.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
  3. Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates.
  4. Add turmeric, coriander, cumin, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add chicken pieces and coat them with the masala.
  6. Cover and cook on low heat until chicken is tender.
  7. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Notes

  • Adjust spices according to your taste.
  • For a thicker gravy, cook uncovered for a few extra minutes.
