- 500g chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
- Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates.
- Add turmeric, coriander, cumin, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add chicken pieces and coat them with the masala.
- Cover and cook on low heat until chicken is tender.
- Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Notes
- Adjust spices according to your taste.
- For a thicker gravy, cook uncovered for a few extra minutes.
