  • 1 french baguette, cut into ½ inch diagonal slices
  • 12 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt for sprinkling
  • 8 ounces plain cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup plain greek yogurt
  • ½ teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 cup (8 ounces) pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or italian cheese blend
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan or pecorino romano cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1820 beef pepperoni slices
  • 6 basil leaves, cut into ribbons
  • Hot honey (such as Mike’s Hot Honey)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Mix olive oil/melted butter with garlic powder and salt; brush both sides of the baguette slices.
  3. Place baguette slices on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until slightly golden.
  4. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, yogurt, salt, garlic powder, and oregano until smooth.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture in a greased 9-inch skillet or 8×8 pan.
  6. Layer pizza sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, and pepperoni on top.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Broil for 1-2 minutes until cheese is slightly golden (watch carefully).
  9. Drizzle with hot honey and top with basil ribbons.
  10. Serve with toasted baguette slices.
