  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Melt butter and olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add the rinsed rice and stir to coat with the garlic butter mixture.
  5. Pour in water or chicken broth, then add salt and pepper.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.
  8. Fluff with a fork and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
