Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a pot, combine rice, coconut milk, water, salt, and sugar (if using).
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover.
- Simmer for 15-18 minutes until liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.
- Fluff with a fork before serving.
Notes
- Use full-fat coconut milk for best flavor.
- Adjust water if using different rice types.
- Add pandan leaves for extra aroma if available.
