Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup ketchup, plus more for topping
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, milk, 1/4 cup ketchup, onion, egg, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf on the prepared baking sheet or press into the loaf pan.
- Spread additional ketchup over the top of the meatloaf, if desired.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sauté the onion before adding it to the mixture.
- You can substitute regular breadcrumbs with whole wheat breadcrumbs for a healthier option.
- Leftover meatloaf can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
- Meatloaf slices are great for sandwiches the next day.
