- 1 loaf French bread, cut into cubes
- 6 large eggs

- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

Instructions
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and place bread cubes in it.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Pour mixture over bread cubes, pressing bread down to soak.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix brown sugar and melted butter, then drizzle over the casserole.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden and set.
- Let cool slightly before serving.

- Use stale bread for better texture.
