- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 24 oz jar marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup beef or chicken broth
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef or chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, minced garlic, milk, salt, pepper, and oregano. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs. You should get about 30-35 meatballs.
- Place the meatballs in the slow cooker.
- Pour the marinara sauce and beef or chicken broth over the meatballs. Stir gently to coat.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, or until the meatballs are cooked through and tender.
- Serve hot with your favorite pasta, rice, or as an appetizer.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture.
- These meatballs can be frozen after cooking. Allow them to cool completely, then store in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
- Serve with a sprinkle of fresh parsley or grated Parmesan cheese.
