Ingredients

  • 4 chicken drumsticks
  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Soak chicken in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Coat each piece of chicken evenly with the flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan to 175°C.
  5. Fry chicken in batches for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels before serving.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to check internal temperature reaches 75°C.
  • Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
