- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine breadcrumbs, parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
- Beat eggs in another shallow dish.
- Dip each chicken breast in eggs, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Place chicken on a greased baking sheet.
- Drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven, top with marinara sauce and mozzarella.
- Return to oven for 5-7 minutes until cheese melts.
Notes
- Pound chicken to even thickness for uniform cooking.
- Use fresh breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
- Let chicken rest 5 minutes before serving.
