Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, whisk applesauce, oil, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
