- 1 tsp red and green sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then coat in powdered sugar.
- Place on baking sheet and gently flatten with your hand.
- Sprinkle with red and green sprinkles if desired.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Dough can be refrigerated for 30 minutes if too soft to handle.
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
