- 1 (9 inch) pie crust, baked
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon alcohol-free vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Remove from heat and stir in sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Beat in eggs one at a time.
- Stir in alcohol-free vanilla extract.
- Pour filling into the baked pie crust.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the center is just set.
- Cool completely before serving.
Notes
- For extra richness, use dark cocoa powder.
- Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- This pie can be made ahead of time and refrigerated.
