Ingredients

- 1 lb flank steak, sliced thin
- 1 cup white rice, uncooked
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add steak slices and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onion and bell pepper until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add rice, beef broth, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Return steak to the skillet and mix with rice.
- Sprinkle cheese on top, cover, and let melt for 2 minutes.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Use a sharp knife to slice steak thin for even cooking.
- Substitute chicken broth if beef broth is unavailable.
- Add hot sauce for extra spice.
