- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook ground beef until browned.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened.
- Stir in uncooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer mixture to a greased casserole dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil, sprinkle shredded cheese on top, and bake for another 15 minutes.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey for ground beef.
- Add vegetables like peas or carrots for extra nutrition.
