Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough, cut into 8 pieces
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain off any excess fat.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup and milk. Stir into the beef mixture.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- Arrange biscuit pieces over the cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
Notes
- You can add other cheeseburger toppings like pickles or tomatoes to the casserole before baking.
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
- If you don’t have cream of mushroom soup, cream of celery or cream of chicken soup can be used as a substitute.
