- 200g mozzarella cheese, cut into sticks
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Cut the mozzarella cheese into sticks, about 1/2 inch thick.
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Dip each cheese stick into flour, then beaten eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry the cheese sticks until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, double-coat the cheese sticks by repeating the egg and breadcrumb steps.
- Serve with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
- To bake instead of fry, place on a baking sheet and bake at 200°C (400°F) for 8-10 minutes.
