Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Shape into 4 oval patties.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from skillet.
  4. Add sliced onions to the same skillet. Cook until softened.
  5. Whisk cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Add to skillet with beef broth. Stir until thickened.
  6. Return patties to skillet. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  • Use lean ground beef for best results.
