  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the trimmed asparagus spears with olive oil until lightly coated.
  3. In a separate shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Working in batches, dredge the asparagus spears in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Arrange the coated asparagus in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and tender-crisp.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, lightly spray the asparagus with cooking spray before baking.
  • Adjust seasonings to your preference.
  • These fries are best served fresh.
