- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and stir well.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoon-sized dough portions onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set but centers are still soft.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Do not overbake—cookies will firm up as they cool.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For extra fudginess, slightly underbake the cookies.
