Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix beef, pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano.
  3. Add milk and mix until combined.
  4. Shape into 1.5-inch meatballs.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown meatballs for 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Serve hot with pasta, sauce, or as desired.

Notes

  • For extra tenderness, use a mix of beef and pork.
  • Don’t overmix the meat to keep it tender.
  • Let the meatballs rest for 5 minutes before serving.
