- 2 cod fillets (6 oz each)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 brioche buns
- 2 tbsp tartar sauce
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup sliced tomatoes
Instructions
- Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.
- Mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in a shallow bowl.
- Whisk egg and milk in another bowl.
- Coat each fillet in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry the cod fillets for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
- Toast the brioche buns lightly.
- Spread tartar sauce on the buns, then add lettuce, tomatoes, and the fried cod fillets.
- Serve immediately.
