  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 brioche buns
  • 2 tbsp tartar sauce
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.
  2. Mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in a shallow bowl.
  3. Whisk egg and milk in another bowl.
  4. Coat each fillet in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry the cod fillets for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
  7. Toast the brioche buns lightly.
  8. Spread tartar sauce on the buns, then add lettuce, tomatoes, and the fried cod fillets.
  9. Serve immediately.
