Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/ warm milk warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a bowl.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Knead into a dough.
  3. Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
  4. Cook apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice until soft.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  6. Spread apple filling evenly over the dough.
  7. Roll tightly and cut into 12 pieces.
  8. Place rolls in a greased pan and let rise for 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350Β°F for 25 minutes.
  10. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk for frosting.
  11. Spread frosting over warm rolls.
