Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and molasses; mix well.
- Gradually blend in dry ingredients.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls, roll in coarse sugar, and place on baking sheets.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are set.
- Cool on wire racks before serving.
