- 2 lbs round steak, cut into serving pieces
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 2 tbsp flour (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- Place the steak pieces in the slow cooker.
- Add sliced onion and minced garlic on top.
- Pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the steak.
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Optional: Mix flour with a little water and stir into the liquid to thicken the sauce.
- Serve hot with mashed potatoes or rice.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sear the steak before adding to the slow cooker.
- You can add carrots or potatoes for a one-pot meal.
- Leftovers taste even better the next day.
